STRUCTURING THE COURSE FOR THE CLIENT

I tailor my course structure to my client's requirements, but they always contain an element of individual development as I feel that is very important to keep each student enthusiastic and engaged with what they are trying to achieve.

On a course in a business atmosphere, students take part in initial research as a team, deliberating together the task that has been set. From there, they would develop their team's ideas on an individual basis, which they would then have to present back to the whole group. The team will then re-combine individual efforts to create a final piece for presentation to the whole course.

This structure allows each student to realise the importance of both team work and individuality and how each person developed a similar idea in a different way. It also teaches them how much stronger they are together as a team.

    BACKGROUND TO MY TEACHING ETHIC

I strongly believe in helping each individual person in my classes. I seek to promote the individual, whilst encouraging them to realise their strengths and weaknesses and allowing them to realise their impact upon a team.
