Return Policy in short
• Contact Claire Harrison Art before returning any items.
• You can return the product within 14 days of delivery.
• The product must be in new condition.
• To avoid any Customs charges please clearly mark the package 'RETURNED GOODS'.
• Want to switch to another product? You can do that, just contact Claire Harrison Art.
• If a package is unclaimed you might have to pay a handling fee.
Return Policy
Please contact Claire Harrison Art before returning any items.
It is appropriate that the consumer controls the delivery to verify that this is accurate and error free. At the stage of intended return, the customer contacts Claire Harrison Art and gives information relevant and the reason for return.
Return Conditions
You can return the product within 14 days of delivery. The product must be in new condition. If the product is ruined or damaged the product shall not be refunded. Make sure to include contact information with the return and if possible, please provide Claire Harrison Art with a tracking number. Claire Harrison Art suggests you get a receipt and a package ID for the return from the delivery service, as it makes it easier to follow the return shipment if needed.
The full cost of return postage is the responsibility of the customer (unless the item is faulty). Item/s MUST be returned in a resalable condition, therefore it is the responsibility of the customer to purchase the appropriate insurance and tracking for the return postage and make any claims in the event of any damage during the return transit.
Claire Harrison Art will make a refund of eligible returns. If you paid by invoice, you need to provide a bank account details to transfer the money back to. The easiest way is to e-mail it to Claire Harrison Art along with a brief description of your case.
Returning A Package
If a returned item is shipped international, please clearly mark the package 'RETURNED GOODS', to avoid any Customs charges. Claire Harrison Art is NOT responsible for any return Customs charges made. Any charges incurred are the responsibility of the customer and will be deducted from the refund.
Faulty Items
If the item you have purchased is faulty and cannot be replaced or mended, then both your return postage and any purchase postage you were charged, and the full cost of the item will be refunded to you within 14 days of them being received by Claire Harrison Art. If the item is found to be faulty upon receipt, then please notify Claire Harrison as soon as possible.
If the item was damaged in transit, please record this with photographs and email proof of damage to Claire Harrison Art, at the following email address art@claire-harrison.co.uk within 48 hours of accepting delivery. Alternatively, you can refuse delivery stating the reason why. Once this has been done and this has been discussed with Claire Harrison Art, please arrange for the return of item/s. Both your purchase and return postage will be refunded in full as well as the cost of the item/s purchased within 14 days of Claire Harrison receiving them.

Lost in Transit
If you think the product is lost on the way to you, you should immediately report this to Claire Harrison Art.
Unclaimed Packages
For packages that are not claimed at your post office within 14 days, Claire Harrison Art reserves the right to charge you a handling fee to cover return shipping and freight companies' administrative costs.

You should understand that by ordering any Claire Harrison Art products, you agree to be bound by these terms & conditions. By placing an order at Claire Harrison Art, you warrant that you are at least 18 years old (or have parents' permission to buy from Claire Harrison Art) and accept these terms & conditions which shall apply to all orders placed or to be placed at Claire Harrison Art for the sale and supply of any products. None of these terms & conditions affect your statutory rights. No other terms or changes to the terms & conditions shall be binding unless agreed in writing signed by Claire Harrison Art.
Personal Information
All personal information you provide Claire Harrison Art with or that Claire Harrison Art obtains will be handled by Claire Harrison Art responsibly and processed according to GDPR. The personal information you provide will be used to ensure deliveries to you, the credit assessment, to provide offers and information to you. The information you provide is only available to Claire Harrison Art and Paypal. Claire Harrison Art will not share your information with other third parties. You have the right to inspect the information held about you. You always have the right to request Claire Harrison Art to delete or correct the information held about you. Claire Harrison Art full GDPR policy is available on request. By accepting the Claire Harrison Art Conditions, you agree to the above.
Force Majeure
Events outside Claire Harrison Art's control, which is not reasonably foreseeable, shall be considered force majeure, meaning that Claire Harrison Art is released from Claire Harrison Art's obligations to fulfil contractual agreements. Example of such events are government action or omission, new or amended legislation, conflict, embargo, fire or flood, sabotage, accident, war, natural disasters, strikes or lack of delivery from suppliers. The force majeure also includes government decisions that affect the market negatively and products, for example, restrictions, warnings, ban, etc.
Payment
All products remain Claire Harrison Art's property until full payment is made. The price applicable is that set at the date on which you place your order. Shipping costs and payment fees are recognised before confirming the purchase. If you are under 18 years old you must have parental/guardian permission to buy from Claire Harrison Art.
All purchases conducted through Claire Harrison Art are handled and transacted through third party (Paypal) dedicated gateways to guarantee your protection. All card information is handled over SSL encryption. Please read the terms & conditions for the payment gateway chosen for the transaction as they are responsible for the transactions made.
Copyright & Licensing
The copyright of all products will remain with Claire Harrison at all times and it is prohibited to reproduce them in anyway including through photography. The use of any item to promote anything other than Claire Harrison is also prohibited, for any use that is not for private or home use, otherwise a licence must be sought from Claire Harrison first.
Liability
Claire Harrison Art is not liable for any losses the customer may incur due to late deliveries or any intended use they may have for the items. All artworks and crafts are sold for their intended use only and are not toys and are not intended for young children due to small parts and therefore the vendor is not liable for any injury sustained through misuse.
All pictures should be hung with adequate wall hangings suitable for the weight of the picture. Claire Harrison Art cannot be held liable for any damage to the picture if it has been hung poorly or incorrectly. Neither is Claire Harrison Art liable for any injury caused or damage to property through inappropriate hanging.
Claire Harrison Art will not be held liable for any damage to persons, the picture or property for natural wear and tear of hanging equipment. This is likely to degrade over time and it is the responsibility of the customer to check that this is still sound and doesn’t need replacing. If the customer changes the product, attempts to repair or clean products then no liability for damage to the product, property or persons due to this can be that of Claire Harrison Art.
Postage & Packing
Please note if the adequate postage is not added to your order this will delay dispatch and delivery as Claire Harrison Art will contact you via email to rectify any miscalculations before dispatch. An order has not been placed until the correct funds have cleared Claire Harrison's Art account. If the consumer disagrees with the costs or queries the price of postage, that is not due to an error on Claire Harrison Art's part, then the sale will be cancelled, no items will be dispatched and any monies already paid will be refunded. Any sale to that consumer will then be at the discretion of Claire Harrison Art.
Guarantee
No product will be guaranteed from wear and tear or any accidental or wilful damage. If the consumer wants any of these repaired these will be charged at cost and an estimate will be provided and agreed to prior to the return of the product.
Any product which has developed a fault within 12 months of the purchase date, can be returned. If it is possible to repair the product this will be done and returned to the consumer free of charge. If it is not possible to repair then a full refund will be given.
Change of State/Hanging Guidelines
If the product has been changed in anyway or has not been maintained or the hanging/care guidelines have not been followed then no refund or free repair will be due. All pictures and paintings are dispatched with Care Guidelines.
Local Taxes
Please note that local charges (sales tax, customs duty) may occur, depending on your region and local customs duties. These charges are at the customers own expense.
FRAMING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
How does the service work?
This service is for drawings and paintings on paper and limited editions only.
Purchase the artwork you love online through www.claire-harrison.co.uk. Next, email Claire at art@claire-harrison.co.uk requesting that you wish your purchase to be framed (this is best done at the point of purchase). After Claire provides ideas for frames, you will then select the frame. Claire will email you a digital mock-up of the painting in the frame. If you provide Claire with a photo of the desired location within your home, Claire can demonstrate how the picture and frame would appear. Please note a mock-up is still a digital image and the actual framed artwork will look slightly different.
Payment
Once you have decided upon the frame to buy, Claire will order it and then invoice you, payment is by online bank transfer only. The framed artwork will not be dispatched until all the framing funds have cleared Claire’s bank account. This service is provided at cost, so no credit cards or PayPal transfers are accepted, due to fees incurred.
Costs
As of March 2023 the approximate cost of a basic frame and mount for a 30 x 30cm limited edition print costs £70. This includes delivery costs of the bespoke made frame to Claire, which is then framed, and the additional costs of dispatching a framed artwork to you. Please note that there is free shipping only on unframed artworks worldwide. Framed artworks have an additional charge, which is included in the approximate cost outlined above.
It is worth noting that you can shop around for cheaper alternatives for framing. The service offered by Claire is for the customer’s ease but may not be the most cost effective. Please be aware that Claire makes no profit on this service.
Dispatch
All framed artworks are dispatched with safety glass (acrylic), due to the insurance needed when dispatching by courier and glass items are exempt.
Please note for artworks that will be framed, these will not be covered under the normal terms; because Claire is reliant on the bespoke frame being delivered to her so that she can frame the artwork and then despatch to you.
Refunds
Framing artworks is a bespoke service and therefore not covered under the distance selling regulations, because the choice and size of frame is personal to you and the artwork you have chosen. Any damage in transit will be covered under courier’s insurance, details of which can be provided if required. Due to this bespoke service, any purchase of a frame is not refundable. The purchase of any artwork can be returned and a full refund will be given for the artwork only, once received in a sellable condition.
Keeping you Updated
As always, Claire will keep you updated at every part of your purchase, and let you know once the bespoke frame has been delivered to her and when your artwork has been framed and dispatched.
Cookies
Claire Harrison Art uses cookies according to the new Electronic Communications Act, which came into force on 25 July 2003. A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer that contains information that helps the website to identify and track the visitor. Cookies do no harm to your computer, consist only of text, can not contain viruses and occupies virtually no space on your hard drive. There are two types of cookies: "Session Cookies" and cookies that are saved permanently on your computer.
The first type of cookie commonly used is "Session Cookies". During the time you visit the website, our web server assigns your browser a unique identifier string so as not to confuse you with other visitors. A "Session Cookie" is never stored permanently on your computer and disappears when you close your browser. To use Claire Harrison Art without troubles you need to have cookies enabled.
The second type of cookie saves a file permanently on your computer. This type of cookie is used to track how visitors move around on the website. This is only used to offer visitors better services and support. The text files can be deleted. On Claire Harrison Art we use this type of cookie to keep track of your shopping cart and to keep statistics of our visitors. The information stored on your computer is only a unique number, without any connection to personal information.
Additional Information
Claire Harrison Art reserves the right to amend any information, including but not limited to prices, technical specifications, terms of purchase and product offerings without prior notice. At the event of when a product is sold out, Claire Harrison Art has the right to cancel the order and refund any amount paid in the best way. Claire Harrison Art shall also notify the customer of equivalent replacement products if available.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS ONLINE COURSES AND LESSONS
LIVE LESSONS
No refunds will be given, unless Claire cannot supply the tuition due to ill health or technical difficulties and she cannot supply an alternative date or a recording of the lesson. If you cannot attend the rearranged date a refund will not be given unless Claire cannot provide you with the recording of the lesson.
If you cannot view/see the tuition your purchase, you will be provided with a recording or alternatively be transferred to another future online course at Claire's discretion.
If you are not technology savvy - please ring me 15 minutes before the session and I can help you.
Once you have purchased an online class I will email you the link to access the class. You do not need an account just click the link!
PRE-RECORDED LESSONS
It takes up to 2 working days to receive the link to the recording which is hosted on vimeo (unless an alternative date is stated in the lesson description, in which case the link will be sent on or before the specified date).
Once you have purchased the workshop, Claire will email you the private link, to the lesson and a photograph which is used as inspiration in the lesson.
Recorded lessons are unrefundable. If you have trouble accessing the recording please email Claire at art@claire-harrison.co.uk
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PAINTING AND DRAWING COURSES/WORKSHOPS IN HIRED VENUES E.g Village Halls
1. All deposits are non-refundable (except in the event of points 3 & 4). No course fee can be refunded partially or in full for student non-attendance or cancellations due to the artist’s obligation to pay room/hall rental.
2. Workshops need to be paid in full in advance by the deadline given and are non-refundable (except in the event of point 4). No workshop fees can be refunded partially or in full for student non-attendance or cancellations due to the artist’s obligation to pay room/hall rental.
3. Proportional refunds will be given for course in the unlikely event that the tutor has to cancel any classes, however the artist will endeavour to rearrange another date and time. If the rearranged date and time is unsuitable for student/s a proportional refund will be given.
4. The deposit and any course/workshop fees will be refunded in full in the unlikely event that the course/workshop has to be completely cancelled. This will absolve the artist from any liabilities. A course would only be cancelled if:
a. the course/workshop is undersubscribed
b. ill health of the artist
c. circumstances out of the artists control
5. The balance of the course fees are due on or before the first session of the course. In the event of the course fee’s are not paid in full by the last session of the course, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, interest will be charged at 10% per month. Any costs that the artist incurs pursuing the course fee’s will also be charged and payable by the student.
6. Course/Workshop vouchers are available to be purchased as presents and are only valid on the receipt of the balance of course fee which is due on or before the first day of the course.
7. Course vouchers are only transferable at the discretion of the artist. 8. Students are expected to provide their own materials, unless otherwise stated, a guide list of materials will be provided prior to the course.

Workshop: One off class, normally 3 hours in length.
