A Bit About Me and How It Works

Who Am I?

Hi, I am Claire, and I have been a professional artist for the last 20 years since graduating and I love sharing my love of drawing and painting with others. I have taught many adults and children over these two decades and have vast technical knowledge in all 2D drawing and painting mediums. I have many one-to-one students who need help with their art scholarships, GCSE's and A levels. I frequently support my peers who get creative block or who want to learn a specific skill. Why Online?

I launched my online art lessons to support my students during the first 2020 Covid-19 lockdown. These lessons are a demonstration in a specific technique, drawing or painting a particular subject. There are three types of lessons, those that last approximately an hour and were a live recording, those that last an hour that were recorded without a live audience and those which are approximately 90+ minutes which were recorded live from my classes from the Guildford Institute. All these recordings have been so popular that I now record lessons without an audience demonstrating a specific skill so you can watch them and learn at your leisure.

What Happens After I Buy The Lesson?

I am an artist working away in Sussex and don't have a fancy automated system I'm afraid! Therefore I endeavour to email you a link to the recording on Vimeo and the photograph that I work from in the lesson with 1-2 working days after I receive your purchase. Please note that this process is slowed down if you don't pay by PayPal online and choose "By Email" instead, as I will email you a link to pay by card via iZettle and will wait for your payment before I send you the link and photo. If you haven't received the lesson by then please check your junk folder.

How Long will the Recording be Available For?

You can watch the recording as many times as you like. Currently there is no deadline on watching the recordings. These will be available for a minimum of 12 months. After which I may have to remove some due to capacity issues on my Vimeo account. If you experience any problems accessing the recordings, just email me with your proof of purchase and I can make these available to you again.
