Oil SketchesThese four oil sketches are paintings from drawings that I did from my imagination but inspired by the Sussex landscape around me. Oil sketches are my opportunity to explore and experiment with new ideas. In these paintings I am researching light at dawn or dusk and fog and mist during the Autumn months. These ideas will progress into final paintings eventually but will change and have more detail added. These oil sketches are half the price of a final oil painting because they have fewer layers of paint and less detail than my finished artworks. Doing these oil sketches are very much part of the creative process I use as an artist to create art.
