This human face looks somewhat regal, it was meant to. It is surrounded by arches and architecture, one of the many things that raises humanity above nature. However this belief system, simply isn't true. Humanity is a part of nature, we ARE nature, we are no less vulnerable than other species.  This is why the face is interlaced with tree and plant tendrils fusing themselves to the human form.

This artwork has been drawn in pencil. Even though I am known for my brightly coloured artworks, the subject matter has impact without the need for colour.  Sometimes I don't want to detract from the image by using lots of bright colours.  This thoughtful, contemplative face that is intertwined with nature should bring calm and curiosity to those who view the picture and will be an interesting talking point on any wall.
